BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — The LIU gymnastics team scored big in the classroom in addition to at meets during the 2022-23 academic year.

In fact, 17 members of the Sharks were recognized as All-America Scholar-Athletes on Friday by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association.
 
The honorees: Ella Barrington, Madysen Bradley, Lauren Miller, Isabella Crane, Taylor Doten, Cael Bixler, Karsyn Foster, Syd Morris, AnnaLisa Page, Kira Sanchez, Isabella Savino, Katy Koopman, Elizabeth Switzer, Kayla Toniolo, Talia Folino, Alexa Henshaw and Ilka Juk.

The award requires a minimum of a 3.50 GPA overall or during the 2022-23 academic year.

Overall, LIU gymnasts had a stellar 3.55 GPA for the academic year.
