BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — The LIU men's lacrosse team honored 19 seniors in a pregame ceremony on Saturday.
The Sharks then complicated their MAAC playoff picture with a 16-10 loss to Marist at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.
LIU, now 4-4 in conference play, still controls its playoff destiny when it faces Quinnipiac next Saturday at noon in Hamden, Conn.
Against Marist,
Brad Beck had a team-leading two goals and
Tom von Bargen produced three points.
The teams were tied at 4 during the second quarter when the Red Foxes produced five straight goals. Marist led the rest of the way.
