MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. — Alyssa O'Donnell and
Lindsey Cowans combined on a two-hit shutout and the LIU softball team earned a 2-0 win against Creighton at The Spring Games on Tuesday.
Mari Narvaiz walked to open the game and subsequently scored. And
Sam Garcia's single down the right-field line plated
Camryn Lyman in the sixth for a two-run cushion.
O'Donnell limited Creighton to two hits in four scoreless innings. Cowans then handled the final three innings without surrendering a hit to earn her first save.
LIU is now 3-3 at The Spring Games, with five games remaining the Sunshine State.
LIU faces Southern Indiana in a noon doubleheader on Wednesday.
