DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — The LIU men's golf team entered the final day of the Daytona Beach Spring Invitational with a lead.
The Sharks ultimately finished fifth of 18 teams in their first spring action, with
Kyle Underwood leading the way and three LIU golfers finishing in the top 15.
Embry-Riddle won the event with an 879, with LIU finishing four strokes back, after shooting 293-288-302-883.
Underwood was LIU's top performer, finishing in a tie for eighth with a three-round 218.
Marcelo Mexsen was tied for 11th, one stroke back.
And
Ary Mohan shot a 220 to finish tied for 15th.
LIU next competes next Monday and Tuesday at the Bash at the Beach in North Myrtle Beach, S.C.
