MADISON, N.J. — The LIU women's fencing team had a banner day at the NIWFA Championships on Saturday.

Chejsa-Kaili Seck earned gold in sabre.
 
Anna Szántay in foil and Costanza Greggi in epee won silvers.
 
Laura Fekete took bronze in epee.

Khrystyna Sarkisian finished in sixth place in foil.
 
The women's epee team earned a silver medal, while the foil team took fourth and the sabre 12th.
 
"Today our women's team stepped up and showed out big time," coach Ivan Lee said. "I'm so proud of them. They really trained hard for this and it showed. It was truly a great day to be a Shark."
