BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — The LIU men's lacrosse team is proving one of the top teams in the MAAC.
The Sharks defeated Wagner, 13-6, on Wednesday at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium to improve to 3-1 in conference play.
Sean Gillman made 21 saves in the victory — the most by an LIU goalkeeper in two seasons.
Tom von Bargen had a career-high-matching four goals, while
Brad Beck and
Sean Boll had two apiece.
In addition to a goal and assist,
Mark Regan scooped up five ground balls and had three caused turnovers.
With the teams tied at 1, LIU rattled off six straight goals, including a pair from von Bargen, to take command.
The Sharks next face Sacred Heart on Saturday at noon in Fairfield, Conn.
