HAMDEN, Conn. — The LIU women's lacrosse team scored the game's first five goals and never looked back on Saturday.
Lluna Katz produced a hat trick and
Leah Nonnenmann,
Olivia Fantigrossi and
Julia Trainor had two goals apiece as the Sharks defeated host Quinnipiac, 13-6.
LIU earned its first win of the season.
LIU held an 8-1 lead at halftime and 11-1 lead after three quarters.
Erin Harkins and
Mary Kate Person scored their first collegiate goals.
Hannah Kenneally had a goal and four assists.
The Sharks (1-2) return to action Wednesday when they host Vermont at 1 p.m. at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.
