STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. —The LIU men's basketball team was put to the test against Wagner, in its second match up of the season against its Staten Island rival.
The Sharks feel to the Seahawks 58-46 on Saturday afternoon. Jacob Johnson scored a team-high 12 points for LIU.
Ahmed Essahaty and Tre' Wood each scored eight points, as LIU dropped to 3-22 on the season and 1-12 in NEC play.
The Sharks return to action Feb.16 at Stonehill, before returning to the Steinberg Wellness Center for its final two games of the regular season.
