ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Hailey Holbdy shot a 1-over 73 on Day 2 to emerge as the LIU women's golf team's top finisher at the Navy Fall Invitational.
Holbdy shot an 80-73-153 to finish in a tie for eighth.
Among LIU golfers, Holbdy was followed by
Emily Byrne in a tie for 14th (77-77-154), then
Lathika Krishna (76-82-158),
Simran Singh (79-80-159) and
Vera Arrébola Granes (83-85-168).
The Sharks finished in a tie for fourth of 15 teams.
"Navy is always a wonderful event," coach Lily Bartell said. "We're happy to have another solid finish, and looking forward to the final two events of this season."
LIU next competes Oct. 23-24 at the Lehigh Invitational in Bethlehem, Pa.
