NEW YORK — The LIU field hockey team will finally get to experience home cooking on Sunday.

The Sharks fell to host Columbia 3-1 on Friday afternoon to slip to 0-3 on the season.

Jules Kuzmich fourth-quarter goal had pulled the Sharks within 2-1 against the Lions.

A redshirt freshman from Albany, Kuzmich has both LIU goals this young season.

LIU next hosts La Salle in the home opener on Sunday at noon at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.
