Century Mark! Ken Ko Earns 100th Career Victory as Women's Volleyball Tops NJIT

LEWISBURG, Pa. — Ken Ko earned a milestone victory on Friday as the LIU women's volleyball team began its weekend at the Bucknell Invitational.

The Sharks produced a 25-21, 25-21, 23-25, 25-19 win against NJIT as Ko earned his 100th win in eight seasons as a head coach at LIU.

He owns a .538 career winning percentage.

"I am just very appreciative of the opportunity to coach and for my team's willingness to be competitive," Ko said. "I couldn't do without the help of a lot of great people surrounding me."

In the victory against NJIT, Anastasia Scott had 24 digs and Sophie Young had 26 assists. Karolina Nova had 12 kills, while Olivia Lucia had 11.

"Our offense started picking up some and our players are getting more comfortable in their roles," Ko said. "It was a great start to our weekend, and I really liked our response after a loss [in Arizona last week]. Hopefully we can keep building on where we are at."

On Saturday, LIU (2-2) faces George Washington at 11 a.m. and host Bucknell at 4 p.m. to complete its stay in Lewisburg.
