Earlier in the day, the Sharks fell to George Washington, 26-28, 25-14, 21-25, 25-20, 16-14.

LIU produced three straight points to pull even at 14 in the winner-take-all fifth set, but George Washington held on.

Scott had 23 digs, Allie Merz and Young had 20 assists apiece, and Karolina Nova had 13 kills against the Colonials.

The Sharks (2-4) won their opening match at the Bucknell Invitational on Friday, against NJIT, as coach Ken Ko earned his 100th career win at the program's helm.
