HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — LIU field hockey traveled south to face its Long Island foe Hofstra on Friday.
 
The Sharks fell to the Pride, 1-0, falling to 2-5 overall.
 
Meilin Liotard led the team with four shots, one on goal. Kaitlyn Olton and Alexis Ruiz had the other two chances in front of the net.
 
Maggie Streichert finished with five saves.
 
LIU will travel next to Georgetown on Sunday at 12 p.m.
