BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The LIU men's volleyball team took on the visiting Yellow Jackets of American International University on Friday night in the Steinberg Wellness Center and won 3-0 (25-12, 25-12, 25-18).
 
SHARK BITES

• The Sharks controlled the entire match from the start, taking a comfortable lead and holding onto it in the first and second sets, winning each by a margin of 25-12. In the third set, American International fought back, but LIU hit .423 in the set and grabbed the 25-18 set win and the 3-0 match win.
• As a team, LIU hit .412 over the entire match.
• Jordan Cooper led the Sharks offensively with eight kills, hitting .571 percent. Giomar Collazo had six kills and hit a remarkable .857 percent.
• The Sharks also had multiple players with multiple services aces that assisted them in their win. Hasan Hadžic sent over four aces, and Luke Chandler had three.
• Up next, the Sharks will be heading to Jacksonville to take on Edward Waters University on Sunday, March 27 at 5 p.m.
