DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – LIU women's golf traveled to Florida to participate in the Sacred Heart Spring Invitational, finishing fourth overall among 14 teams in the field. This marks the highest team finish so far for the Sharks during the 2022 season. 
 
On the individual leaderboard, LIU placed two golfers inside the top-10. Junior Vera Arrébola Granes finished fourth, finishing five over par with a total score over of 149. Senior Ashlee Garrett earned her first top-10 finish coming in eighth with an eight over par finish. Garrett shot a +3 on the final round with four birdies on the final 18 holes.
 
As a team, the Sharks finished third in scores in Par 3s, fifth in Par 4s and Par 5s. LIU also finished eighth in total pars and third in birdies with 16. 
 
Up next, the Sharks will take on Hartford in a weekend match beginning on Saturday, April 2.
