FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The LIU men's volleyball team headed North of the city to Connecticut to take on Sacred Heart University on Friday night, taking the Pioneers to five sets and winning 3-2 (25-23, 25-20, 22-25, 15-25, 15-11). LIU hit .368 percent for the match.
 
SHARK BITES

• The Sharks grabbed the first two sets to lead the match 2-0, hitting .444 and then .571 percent to take the wins. The hosting Pioneers swung back though, holding the Sharks and taking the next two sets to level the match at 2-2. In the fifth set, the Sharks came back, winning it 15-11, hitting .643 percent and grabbing the 3-2 match victory.
• Luke Chandler had 18 kills, hitting .536 percent while Caden Satterfield had 13 and hit .346 percent for the match.  
• Freshman libero Danny Seliger grabbed 14 digs.
• Luca Holanda, the freshman setter, tallied 40 assists for the match.
• Up next, the Sharks head to West Virginia to take on Limestone University and Alderson Broaddus University on Friday, March 18 at 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
