HONOLULU, H.I. – The LIU men's volleyball team traveled to Honolulu to face off against the No. 3 University of Hawai'i in the first of three matches that the two will compete in over a four-day period. The Sharks ultimately fell to the Rainbow Warriors 3-0 (26-24, 25-11, 25-15).
 
SHARK BITES

• LIU started off strong hitting .273 percent in the first set and holding Hawai'i to just .111 percent. The Rainbow Warriors were resilient though as they pushed to take the set 26-24.
• Hawai'i then went on to dominate, holding LIU to just 11 and 15 points in the second and third sets to claim their 3-0 victory.
• The kill leader for the Sharks was freshman opposite Luke Chandler who had 11 kills and an individual kill percentage of .333.
• Sophomore middle Hasan Hadžic had 8 kills and a .412 kill percentage for the evening.
• Freshman setter Luca Holanda had 22 assists for the Sharks.
• Tonight, LIU faces off against Hawai'i in the second of three matches. The match starts at 7 p.m. local time and 12 a.m. EST.
