HONOLULU, H.I. – The LIU men's volleyball team played against the No. 3 University of Hawai'i in the second of a three-game series last night. The Sharks would fall to the Rainbow Warriors 3-0 (25-9, 25-13, 25-17) in Honolulu's SimpliFi Arena.
 
SHARK BITES

• The Warriors controlled the first and second sets, but LIU showed resilience in the third set, even taking a 6-5 lead. Hawai'i then went on a run to take a 16-11 lead that the Sharks found themselves unable to recover from.
• The kill leaders for the Sharks were sophomore middle Hasan Hadžic and sophomore outside Kade Frischknecht with six kills each. Hadžic hit .333 percent while Frischknecht hit .273 for the evening.
• Freshman setter Luca Holanda notched 15 assists.
• Friday, LIU faces off against Hawai'i again in the third and final match. The match will start at 7 p.m. local time or 12 a.m. EST.
