HONOLULU, H.I. – The LIU men's volleyball team went up against No. 3 Hawai'i for the third and final time on Friday night and fell 3-1 (25-18, 22-25, 25-15, 25-9) to the hosting Rainbow Warriors.
 
SHARK BITES

• Despite dropping the first set 25-18, the Sharks were able to hit .318 percent and it only improved in the second set.
• UH started the second set with a 6-2 lead, but LIU scored five straight to take the lead and then made it 11-7 after a 9-1 run. The Sharks scored three of the final four points to take the set 25-22.
• In set two, LIU hit .417 percent and held Hawai'i to just .091.
• Hawai'i swung back in sets three and four, claiming both to seal the 3-1 match victory over the Sharks.
• The Sharks were led in kills by junior outside Jordan Cooper and sophomore outside Kade Frischknecht who each tallied seven kills. Cooper hit .333 percent and also sent over two of the five aces the Sharks had for the match.
• Freshman setter Kasey Clouet had 17 assists for night.
• LIU's next match will be at home against the D'Youville Saints on Friday, February 18 at 7 p.m.
