BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The LIU men's volleyball team went a mile down the road to Remsen St. to take on St. Francis Brooklyn on Tuesday evening, falling 3-2 (25-22, 22-25, 21-25, 25-20, 15-12) to the Terriers in a five set thriller.
Luke Chandler hit .387 percent with 19 total kills for the match.
SHARK BITES
- The Sharks hit .36 percent in the first set, but couldn't keep up with the Terriers and fell 25-22. They managed to flip the score in the second set, taking it 25-22 over the hosts and evening the score for the match at one set all.
- The Sharks also took set three, 25-21, when they out-hit St. Francis Brooklyn with a team .389 kill percentage for the set and took the lead for the match 2-1.
- Sets four and five saw the lead changing back and forth, before the Terriers pulled off a comeback by winning both, holding off the Sharks in the end and taking the match 3-2.
- Caden Satterfield had 18 kills with a .324 kill percentage.
- Freshman libero Danny Seliger had 10 digs for the Sharks.
- Freshman setter Luca Holanda had 48 assists and nine digs in the five sets.
- Up next, the Sharks are going to Springfield, Massachusetts to take on American International College at 3 p.m. on Friday, February 25.
