NORTHPORT, N.Y. — The LIU equestrian team completed its fall season on Sunday as the high-point team at the IHSA Show hosted by Hofstra University.
The day began with
Anna Perlow taking third and
Sam Koeppel taking fourth in their open over fences classes.
In Intermediate over fences,
Paige Mather took third,
Kathryn Gargiulo took fourth and Lilian Ferguson took fifth.
In the limit fences division,
Emily Lonegro and
Hailey Ceglinski earned wins, with
Shelby McKie taking second and
Kristin Balser taking third.
In the flat phases, Perlow took first in her open section and Koeppel took fourth.
In the intermediate,
Sophia Mirando took the win,
Julia Bonvino and
Isabella Lomonaco took second, and
Peyton LaFrenz took sixth.
In the limit section,
Megan Rodier and
Kathryn Gargiulo took wins and
Adaryn Docherty and
Emmaree Hernandez took second.
Olivia Korzep and
Tatum Cawley took the victory of their sections of novice, with
Alyssa Kolesnikova coming in second in her section.
To end the day,
Rhiannon Bradley won her introductory section, with
Nicole Kravets taking third and
Tara Puja Lauther taking sixth.
The Sharks return to competition in the spring.
