SELDEN, N.Y. — For the second week in a row, the LIU equestrian team finished as the high-point team. This time, it came at the Stony Brook Horse Show held at Olde Towne Equestrian Center.
The day began with
Anna Perlow and
Sam Koeppel taking first in their open over fences class.
In intermediate over fences, Lilian Ferguson took the win, with Annabella Wyman placing fifth and
Paige Mather placing sixth.
In limit over fences,
Sophia Mirando, Bianca Tornecrantz and Adrianna Deprisco took the win in their classes, with
Peyton LaFrenz close behind in second.
In the flat phases, Sam Beck and Perlow took second place in their open sections.
In the intermediate flat, Koeppel took first,
Gretchen Persan took third and Isabella LoMonaco took fifth.
In limit flat,
Alyssa Buback and Julianna Lingner took first place in their sections, with
Lizette Kelly taking second and
Shelby McKie taking third.
In the novice flat, Anna Polcini, Liz Lebeshova and
Alyssa Kolesnikova took first in their individual classes.
In introductory,
Kendra Moore took the win.
To end the day, Koeppel took high point rider and
Anna Perlow took reserve high point rider.
The Sharks next compete Oct. 23 at the Molloy University Show, which will be held at DDR Farm in Melville.
