MELVILLE, N.Y. — For the third week in a row, the LIU equestrian team finished as the high-point team.
This time, the Sharks performed the feat at the Molloy University show.
The day began with
Anna Perlow and
Sam Koeppel taking second in their open-over-fences class.
In intermediate over fences, Lilian Ferguson took the win, with
Paige Mather placing fifth and Annabella Wyman placing sixth.
In limit over fences,
Abigail Clarke took the win in her class, with
Peyton LaFrenz and Julianna Lingner close behind in second,
Megan Rodier taking third, and
Emily Lonegro and
Emmaree Hernandez each taking fourth.
In the flat phases, Perlow took first place and Sam Beck took second in their open sections.
In the intermediate flat,
Peyton LaFrenz took first, Koeppel took second and
Gretchen Persan took third.
In limit flat, Julianna Lingner,
Sophia Mirando and
Madi Moran took first place in their sections,
Julia Bonvino and Adrianna Deprisco took second, Annabella Wyman took third and
Kristin Balser took fourth.
In the novice flat,
Helen Chimbos,
Tatum Cawley and
Grace Catanese took first in their individual classes, with
Tori Cohen taking second.
In Introductory, Tara Lauther took the win and
Nicole Kravets took second.
The Sharks return to competition next Sunday at the NYU/Princeton Show, which will be held at Sagamore Hills Stables in Northport.
