WORCESTER, Mass. — The LIU field hockey team suffered a heartbreaker on Sunday.
The Sharks conceded the game's lone goal with five seconds remaining in double-overtime and fell, 1-0, at Holy Cross in a nonconference matchup.

Felicia King combined for nine shots on goal for LIU, but Brooke Ross produced the shutout.
LIU (6-9, 3-1 NEC) steps back into conference play on Friday when it hosts Rider at 3 p.m. at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.
