LIU fell to FDU in straight sets, 25-21, 25-21 and 25-17.
Amaris Smith and Barbora Hoskova led the way offensively with nine kills each. Smith had a .273 hitting percentage.
With the result, their five match win streak was snapped.
The Sharks move to 10-9 overall and 5-2 in conference play, which is tied for second.
