WILLINGFORD, Conn. — The LIU women's golf team wrapped up its second to last fall tournament on Tuesday.
The Sharks finished sixth out of 11 schools competing in the Quinnipiac Classic.
Senior
Emily Byrne finished tied for fourth, the highest finisher among her teammates.
Byrne shot a 16-over-par 232, just two strokes from third. She finished day three with a 75 on the scorecard.
Ashlee Garrett was the next highest on the leaderboard, tying for 19
th.
Garrett, the Alberquerque, N.M. native, had a solid start to the weekend by shooting a 77 on round one.
LIU will take part in its final fall competition at the Lehigh Invitational beginning on Sunday, Oct. 23.
