The Sharks answered in the bottom of the first with a four-run inning.
Cade Biddle,
Anthony Warneke and
Christopher Wasson loaded the bases on a hit and two walks. Giovanni Ciacco had a single that would bring two runs home. A sac fly by

And then, in the top of the ninth, with two outs and a 2-2 count, Merrimack's first baseman blasted a ball over the right center field fence to tie it up, 4-4.
From there, LIU would continue to threaten. The Sharks got runners in scoring position in the bottom of the 10th, 11th, 13th and 14th innings, and loaded the bases in the bottom of the 15th with one out, but couldn't bring any runs home.
