BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The LIU men's swimming team beat St. Francis Brooklyn at home Friday for the second time this season, 114-55.
LIU opened the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay, as the squad of
Brynjólfur Karlsson,
Stephen Taylor,
Marcell Matyiko and
Daniel Samouilich won in 1:36.28.
The Sharks swept the 50 free, taking the top three spots.
Alejandro Pascual Del Cid won the event in 21.78,
Porter LeVasseur came in second in 21.88, and Samouilich touched third in 22.49.
Del Cid also won the 200 free in 1:44.85, while Taylor had two top finishes in the 100 IM (53.89) and the 100 breast (58.86).
Freshman
Daniel Chocano Fernández won the 200 IM in 1:57.28.
And LIU capped the meet with a win in the 200 free relay, as
Bruno Ferrari,
Trajan Houston, LeVasseur and Pascual Del Cid won in 1:28.12.
