BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The LIU men's basketball team had a total team win at home Monday night, as every Shark who went into the game scored. LIU beat Merchant Marine, 106-48 in the Steinberg Wellness Center, to improve to 2-7 on the season.
 
SHARK BITES

• LIU forced 23 turnovers, 18 of which were stolen; the Sharks scored 32 points off those turnovers.
• LIU finished the day shooting 57 percent from the field, including 40 percent from three-point range.
• The Sharks also had 11 blocks on defense.
• Senior Ty Flowers led LIU with 24 points and 15 rebounds, along with six assists, four steals and a block.
• Sophomore Kyndall Davis had 16 points and six assists, along with four rebounds and two steals, while senior Isaac Kante had 14 points in just 17 minutes, along with five rebounds, two assists and two blocks.
• Freshman Quion Burns had 12 points in his start, along with nine rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals.
• Andre Washington added nine points and seven rebounds, along with a team-high seven assists and three steals.
