NEWARK, Del. – The LIU men's basketball team tied the game twice with 10 minutes left at the University of Delaware Tuesday night, but fell short in the end, falling to the Blue Hens, 75-67. With the loss, LIU is now 1-5 on the season, while Delaware moves to 5-3.

- LIU struggled from three-point range, shooting just 16 percent in the first half, and 25 percent overall in the game.
- The Sharks also had 16 turnovers, which the Blue Hens converted to 16 points.
- LIU was led by 17 points from both Eral Penn and Isaac Kante. Penn, who went 7-for-14 from the field, also had eight rebounds, six assists, three blocks and a steal. Kante was also 50 percent from the field, with nine rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block.
- Ty Flowers added 14 points, six rebounds, two blocks and two assists in the loss.
- Delaware had a balanced scoring attack with five different players in double figures.
