YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The LIU women's basketball team fell on the road to Youngstown State Friday afternoon, 70-55. The Sharks, still seeking their first win, are now 0-5 on the season.

• The Sharks outscored Youngstown 31-21 in the final quarter of play, but deficits from the second and third quarter were too much to overcome.
• Freshman Emaia O'Brien led the Sharks with a season-high 16 points, along with four rebounds and two steals in just 21 minutes of action. The rookie went 3-for-7 from three-point range, and 6-for-14 from the field.
• Senior Shyla Sanford had seven points, three assists and two steals.
• Erykah Russell was key on defense, with five steals and five rebounds, to go with her five points.
• Up next, LIU takes on Cleveland State, Sunday, November 28 at 2 p.m.
