LATHAM, N.Y. – The Long Island University women's tennis team kicked off a three dual-match weekend with another dominating performance, defeating Siena, 6-1 on Friday afternoon.

Sofiya Kuzina started the day by defeating Brown/Mulaney, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles. At No. 2 doubles,

Bianca Compuesto defeated Perkins/Goehner, 6-4 to secure the doubles point.

Phoebe Watton completed the doubles sweep knocking off Miszczak/Keniev, 7-5.
Kuzina earned the first team singles point when she defeated Perkins, 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2 singles. Dancenco kept it going for the Sharks at No. 1 singles as she defeated Megan Brown, 7-5, 6-2. Despite falling to Petra Miszctzak, 3-6, 6-1, 6-10, Compuesto came back from being down the first set, won the second set and forced a third set tie break.
Storkaas defeated Mullaney, 6-3, 7-5 at No. 3 singles to clinch the match for the Sharks. Erechtchenko dominated at No. 5 singles, defeating Viswanath, 6-1, 6-4.
Kate Jorjoliani capped off the day defeating Koniaev, 6-2, 6-2.
The Sharks are back at Tri-City Fitness tomorrow, Saturday February 15 when they take on Providence College at 12:30 p.m.
