BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Long Island University women's swim team will host perennial Northeast Conference contender Central Connecticut State for the final dual meet of the regular season in LIU Pool, Saturday, February 1 at 1 p.m. Prior to the meet, the Sharks will also honor their two graduating team members:
Noemie Lacroix-Moreau and
Kyleigh Barao.

LAST TIME OUT
The Sharks have had three dual meets since the new year, and are 2-1 so far in 2020. LIU opened with a double win at the Monmouth Tri-Meet, defeating host Monmouth, 151-110, and beating Saint Peter's, 185-73. Most recently, LIU fell in a sprint meet to Wagner, 169.5-96.5.
ACADEMIC HONOREES
The Long Island University women's swimming team was named a Fall Scholar All-America Team, it was announced by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Wednesday. The Sharks finished with the fourth-highest team GPA in the nation, a 3.70. They also finished with the highest GPA in the Northeast Conference for the sport of women's swimming.

The Sharks begin the most exciting part of the season: taper time! LIU will have 16 straight days off of competition, in preparation for the 2020 Northeast Conference Championship Meet. The annual event will take place at the Nassau County Aquatics Center in East Meadow, N.Y., February 19-22.
