LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Long Island University men's basketball team will wrap up a 10-day long road trip this week, taking part in two games over two days at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. The Sharks open with a Thursday afternoon game against the University of North Florida, and will then play either Tennessee State or Cal Poly Friday afternoon.

- Last time out, LIU led No. 12 Texas Tech at halftime, 42-41, but couldn't sustain the momentum, falling to the Red Raiders, 96-66 in United Supermarkets Arena Sunday afternoon. Senior Raiquan Clark led LIU with 18 points, along with four rebounds. Senior Jashaun Agosto had 13 points, while sophomores Jermaine Jackson Jr. and Virshon Cotton both his season-highs with 10 points each.
- UNF (4-3) is coming off of back-to-back losses to Invitational opponents Iowa (83-68) and Creighton (76-67). The Ospreys have five players averaging in double digits: sophomore forward Carter Hendricksen (15.7 ppg, 8.6 rpg), senior combo guard Garrett Sams (14.7 ppg), senior guard J.T. Escobar (12.7 ppg), senior guard Ivan Gandia-Rosa (12.3 ppg, 6.3 apg), and senior forward Wajid Aminu (11.1 ppg, 7.0 rpg).
- Tennessee State is 3-3 this season, having also lost to No. 12 Texas Tech (72-57) and San Diego State (62-49). Three Tigers are averaging double figures, including senior guard Michael Littlejohn (11.8 ppg), sophomore guard Carlos Marshall Jr. (11.3 ppg) and senior Wesley Harris (10.0 ppf, 5.2 rpg).
- And Cal Poly is 1-5 coming into this weekend, having also fallen to Creighton (86-70) and Iowa (85-59). Sophomore guard Junior Ballard leads the Mustangs in scoring at 11.8 ppg, while sophomore forward Tuukka Jaakkola adds 10.3 points per game.
