Holden White

Holden White comes to LIU after spending four seasons as an assistant coach with Brown University, working with both the Bears' pitchers and hitters from 2022-2025. 

During his tenure on College Hill, White helped mentor 10 All-Ivy selections, and in 2022 helped guide Brown's pitching staff to the second-lowest ERA in the Ivy League (5.47), with two pitchers ranking in the league's top three in ERA. In 2023, he helped coach Mika Petersen to the No. 1 batting average in Ivy League play (.424) and fourth overall (.353). In 2025, Petersen also finished the regular season as the Ivy League's leading hitter with a .355 average.

White came to Brown after a playing career at Eastern Connecticut State, where he posted a career .381/.455/.611 slash line over three seasons for the Warriors. As a senior in 2021, he batted .384 with 38 hits, 24 runs, 26 RBI and four home runs over 31 games, serving as the team’s first baseman. He earned Second Team All-Conference honors and helped lead the nationally ranked Warriors to the NCAA Division III Regionals.
 
Prior to arriving at Eastern, White played at Wake Forest University during his freshman and sophomore seasons in 2017 and 2018. He graduated from Kingswood Oxford School in 2016, where he was ranked as the No. 431 prospect in the nation by Perfect Game, and the No. 1 prospect in New England by Prep Baseball Report. He was named a 2016 Rawlings-Perfect Game Honorable Mention All-American and was selected to compete in the Area Code Games in California.
 
He entered the coaching ranks in the summer of 2021 as an assistant coach for the Norwich Sea Unicorns of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League.
 
White graduated from Eastern Connecticut State in 2021 with a degree in communications.
