Her work has focused on helping students develop the cognitive, organizational, and self-regulation skills necessary for academic and personal success.

She also developed an adaptive golf program for students with autism, reflecting her commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and individualized instruction.

Maloney earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Elon University and graduated summa cum laude from Farmingdale State College with a Bachelor of Science in bioscience. She subsequently earned a Master of Science in special education from Long Island University, also graduating summa cum laude.

A published researcher in neuroscience, Maloney brings an understanding of cognitive development, learning processes, and human performance to her coaching philosophy. Her academic and professional experiences shape her emphasis on the relationship between executive functioning, decision-making, emotional regulation, and athletic performance.

As head coach, Maloney is committed to building a competitive Division I women’s golf program that prioritizes athletic excellence and the overall development of its student-athletes. She emphasizes accountability, resilience, strategic thinking, and confidence while creating an environment that recognizes each athlete’s individual strengths and potential.

A proud LIU alumna, Maloney is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of female student-athletes and preparing them to excel in collegiate competition, academic pursuits, professional careers, and life beyond the game.
