Alex Green joined LIU Athletics as the Head Football Athletic Trainer in the Spring of 2021. He arrived on Long Island after completing four seasons as a full-time Athletic Trainer for the University of Kentucky
football team.
Green previously spent two seasons as a graduate assistant for football with the Wildcats, while earning a master of science degree in athletic training from the university. Between those two UK opportunities, Green spent a full year as an intern with the Miami Dolphins, including the 2016 football season. He also worked as a season student intern with the Pittsburgh Steelers, in 2013-2014.
Alex earned a bachelor of science degree in athletic training from the University of Pittsburgh. Green is certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association and is a licensed athletic trainer by the New York State Education Department. He is CPR/AED certified by the American Heart Association and a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association. A native of Northampton, PA, Green currently resides in Brooklyn, N.Y. with his wife, JoAnn.
