Mark Modleski joined the LIU staff in January 2022. He will serve as the running backs coach and the recruiting coordinator.

Modleski spent last season as a quality control coach and associate director of player personnel with UAB. The Blazers finished 9-4, including a win in the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl over No. 13 BYU, 31-28.

Prior to UAB, Modleski served as a quality control coach at Arkansas during the 2018-19 season and as a graduate assistant at Memphis in 2017.

In 2016, Modleski was the wide receievers coach and recruiting coordinator at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, Iowa. 

Modleski graduated from SUNY Oswego in 2013 with a bachelor's of arts in English.

He is engaged to Tina Silva.
