Sam Hickman-Bell joined the LIU field hockey staff as an assistant coach under Mike Pallister in the summer of 2023.

Prior to joining the coaching staff, Hickman-Bell played for the Sharks from 2017-2021, scoring 45 career goals. A Scotland native, Hickman-Bell earned All-Conference Team honors in all five seasons, the latter three of which were at the Division I level in the NEC. She helped lead LIU to consecutive NEC Championship appearances in 2020 and 2021.
