Brittany Robertson

Brittany Robertson enters her first season as assistant coach of the LIU field hockey team in 2019.

Robertson comes to LIU from the State University of New York Cortland where she was the graduate assistant field hockey coach last season. As the graduate assistant coach, she was responsible for assisting the head coach with recruiting and scouting for upcoming games, monitoring study hall and student-athletes’ academics, while also scheduling and planning meals for players during home and away contests. She played a crucial role in facilitating instruction during practices and games and assisted the head coach with promoting the team on social media, including Instagram and Facebook.

Prior to her role as graduate assistant coach, Robertson served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at SUNY Cortland for four months. In this position, she supervised student athletic trainers and provided athletic training coverage for field hockey, women’s basketball and gymnastics.

Robertson received her Master of Science in sports management from SUNY Cortland in May 2019. Throughout her time as a graduate student, Robertson was the athletic ticketing, marketing, camps and clinic intern at Cornell University. As an intern, her responsibilities varied from assisting the camp director with building camps online and communicating with all parties involved, scheduling staff for game day and student office hours, assisting with marketing initiatives on social media, creating game day promotions and assisting with daily finances.

She began her coaching career in March 2017 when she was a United Field Hockey Club coach. Robertson served as the head coach of the tournaments, managed practice, and provided feedback for individual players.

Robertson was a four-year member of the Immaculata field hockey team where she played in 60 career games at midfield. She recorded eight goals and three assists to finish her career with 19 points. Robertson graduated from Immaculata College in May 2017 with her Bachelor of Science in athletic training.
