Matt Messick joined the LIU athletic training staff in 2021.

Messick is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University where he earned a bachelor's of science in 2018. During his time at Ohio Wesleyan, he was a member of the baseball team and was selected captain his senior year.

Messick recieved his masters of science in atheltic training at Stony Brook University. While at SBU, he completed clinical rotations with women’s volleyball, softball, men’s soccer, and football.
