Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. – LIU defeated Mercy 31-0 on Tuesday, boasting its largest win margin of the season.
Quarterback Julia Dank finished the game 13 of 25 passing, throwing for three touchdowns while also rushing for a team-high 25 yards. E'lise Lyrse made an impact on both ends of the field, scoring all three of her team's touchdowns while leading the defense with six tackles.
Fresh off winning ECAC Defensive Player of the Week (becoming the first Shark to win a weekly honor for LIU's inaugural flag football squad), Maní Boyd had four tackles as well.
LIU will conclude its regular season on Wednesday, April 29, playing Old Westbury at 4 p.m.
