BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – LIU picked up a Senior Day victory on Saturday, defeating Sacred Heart 12-6.
 
Quarterback Julia Dank threw for two touchdowns, finishing the game 12-for-20 passing for 84 yards. E'lise Lyrse and Sophia Songveeratham were each on the receiving end for LIU touchdowns to help propel the Sharks to a win.
 
Maní Boyd led the team on the defensive end, recording eight tackles and 4.5 sacks. Lyrse also had seven tackles, respectively.
 
Harper Skeie was honored pregame during Senior Day festivities. A two-sport athlete having previously played for LIU's women's lacrosse team, Skeie joined the Sharks' inaugural flag football team and has made the Dean's List every semester at LIU. She will earn her degree in health & physical education.
 
LIU went on to defeat Sacred Heart 18-7 in a second game later in the day.
 
LIU will next host St. Thomas Aquinas on Tuesday, April 21 at 5 p.m.
