Ben McIsaac led the charge with three goals and three assists and the Long Island University men's lacrosse team (3-0) stayed unbeaten with a 16-10 win at Iona College (0-6) on Saturday afternoon.
Cameron Connolly and
Antony Tsakos also scored three goals apiece.
Aidan Zuhoski and Ben Shuster each scored two goals.
McIsaac opened the scoring with an unassisted goal less than three minutes into the game. LIU rattled off the game's first five goals, including all three of McIsaac's hat trick, to take a 5-0 lead early in the second quarter.
The Sharks led 8-3 at halftime, and after scoring four more successive goals in the third quarter, took a 13-4 lead into the fourth quarter.
LIU outshot Iona 47-34, with 30 shots on goal. The Sharks were successful on all 17 attempted clears and went 1-for-3 on man-up chances.

Tyler Gresh made 10 saves.
LIU returns to action on Tuesday at Rutgers University. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
