BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - The Long Island University men's lacrosse team was picked second in the NEC preseason coaches' poll, the conference announced on Wednesday. The Sharks received two first-place votes.
In 2026, head coach
Jordan Levine enters his fourth season leading the Sharks. Last season LIU compiled a 9-5 overall record, including a 5-1 mark at home. The Sharks earned the No. 3 seed in the NEC reaching the semifinals of the conference tournament.
This season, LIU returns seven all-conference selections to its roster:
Aidan Zuhoski (first team),
Cameron Connolly (second team),
Tyler Davide (second team),
Ryan Fountain (second team),
Ben McIsaac (second team),
Charlie Hunnewell (all-rookie), and
Tyler Gresh (all-rookie).
The Sharks open the season on Feb. 7 at Shark Stadium versus Mount Saint Mary's University. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
