BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - The Long Island University men's swimming and diving team was selected to finish third in the NEC Men's Swimming and Diving Preseason Poll, the conference announced on Friday. 

This year's LIU squad features four returners. At the 2025 NEC Championships, The Sharks swept the freestyle events, winning conference titles in all five freestyle individual events. In addition to the freestyle titles, LIU won the men's 200-yard freestyle and the 800-yard freestyle relays. LIU also claimed the 400-yard individual medley title.  

Howard University took first place unanimously, followed by Wagner College. Le Moyne College finished fourth in the preseason poll. 

The Sharks open the 2025-26 season at home against Saint Francis on Oct. 25.
