BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - Grace Hennig has been named an NEC Prime Performer, the conference announced on Monday.
The redshirt-senior played a key role in LIU's opening night matchup against Manhattan on Friday, Aug. 15. With the Sharks trailing 1-0 early, Hennig came up in the clutch by scoring her first goal of the season to help her team tie the score and eventually earn a tie for the game while keeping Manhattan in check the rest of the way.
Hennig and the Sharks return to the field on Sunday, Aug. 24, hosting Saint Peter's at 12 p.m.
