MIAMI SHORES, Fla. - The Long Island University men's volleyball team wrapped up the Barry U Invite with a 3-0 sweep of St. John Fisher University on Saturday evening, going undefeated at the invitational.
"It's a beautiful thing to travel as a team," LIU men's volleyball Head Coach Justin Beaumont said. "We grew as a team on this trip, and I'm proud of the young guys that stepped in and contributed. Now, it's time to focus on our conference."
LIU opened the match against Cardinals by winning a closely fought first set, jumping out to a 1-0 lead with a 25-23 win in the set. Riding the momentum of winning the first frame, the Sharks made quick work of the Cardinals by winning the second set, 25-17, and the third set, 25-21, to win the match in a decisive 3-0 victory.
