CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The LIU men's lacrosse team extended its winning streak to five games with a 13-9 win over Queens University of Charlotte on Saturday afternoon.
LIU goaltender
Brayden Wilcken, a three-time NEC Rookie of the Week, stopped 12 shots and won his fifth-straight game.
Cameron Connolly led the offense with a team-high four points, scoring three goals and adding an assist.
Ben McIsaac,
Aiden Zuhoski, and
Ben Schuster each netted two goals, while
Drew Togno,
Ryan Baudo, and
Charlie Hunnewell also found the back of the net.
Defensively, LIU controlled possession, scooping up a game-high 24 ground balls.
LIU also won a game-high 14 faceoffs.
Shaun Hill won nine and
Joseph Doyle won five.
The Sharks return to action next Saturday at noon at Mercyhust.
