STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Ben McIsaac scored a game-high five goals against Wagner on Friday afternoon in the Sharks' road matchup against the Seahawks.
McIsaac put LIU ahead 6-5 with a man-up goal with 2:43 remaining in the second quarter, giving the Sharks a one-goal lead at halftime.
LIU extended its lead by scoring a pair of goals to open the third quarter, as
Owen Stefanko and McIsaac found the back of the net to make it 8-5.
Stefanko finished the game with one goal and three assists.
Wagner responded with five unanswered goals to pull ahead 11-9 with 5:30 left in regulation.
LIU then answered with two goals of its own to tie the game at 11 and force overtime.
However, the Seahawks secured a 12-11 win in the extra frame.
Mark Regan and
Cameron Connolly each recorded a goal and two assists on the day.
Brayden Wilcken finished the game with 14 saves.
LIU is back in action next Saturday, April 5, against Robert Morris.
